First Physical Prototype Ordered
The first physical CORVO-001 Rev A prototype has been ordered. The program moves from digital engineering to hardware.
Every number published so far (mass, balance, wall thickness) comes from the digital model. That was the point of the digital phase: resolve the geometry until the remaining questions can only be answered by a part you can hold.
The first aluminum prototype is intentionally unfinished. No anodize, no top mark. Its job is to validate geometry and feel, not cosmetics: how the crown lands in the palm, how the neck reads under fingertips, whether the calculated balance is perceptible in the hand.
Technical Notes
- Prototype configuration: 6061-T6 body, bead blast, no anodize, blank top field.
- First-article priorities: exterior geometry conformance, hand feel, insert bore verification.
Decisions Made
- First prototypes are machined without final finish or branding so surface and feel can be judged directly.
Open Questions
- Does perceived balance in hand match the calculated 42.6% below-midplane figure?
- Does the shoulder locate the hand without reading as a ridge?

Receive and inspect the Rev A part, then run internal fit, feel, and durability review.
